Deleting a selection on a layer without Lock Transparency selected replaces the original area with the layer transparency.To delete a selection, choose Edit > Clear, or press Backspace (Windows) or Delete (Mac OS). To cut a selection to the Clipboard, choose Edit > Cut. |
