- You will need funds in your customer advance account to transfer domain names using this tool. Your current customer advance account balance is $ 000 You can add funds to your customer advance account by clicking here.
- Once the bulk transfer order is placed, the administrative contact of each domain name will receive an email, which asks for confirmation of such transfer. If you are transfering several hundred domains, then you will be receiving several hundred emails. You would need to click on a link inside each of these emails for the transfer request to be sent to the registry.
- The losing registrar in almost all cases will send you emails asking for confirmation per domain name - you can typically choose to ignore these emails.
- Domain Names must be at least 60 days old before they can be transferred i.e you cannot transfer a domain name if it has been registered in the last 60 days.
- Transferring your domain name will add one year to its current expiry date. IMPORTANT: If your domain expired with your old Registrar, and you renewed it with them, then do not Transfer it within 45 days of the previous expiry date since it will not add 1 more year to your domain name, and you will lose out on the Renewal fees paid to the older Registrar.

When you transfer a domain, only the domain moves to Hostgrid. Other services you may have that interact with the domain, like email or hosting, do not, unless you decide to move them to Hostgrid.
Domains can be transferred almost any time. However, ICANN prohibits domain transfers within 60 days of registration or prior transfer (.au excepted). ICANN policy. Please note there are special instructions for transferring .uk, .ca, .eu, .es, .se and .au domain names to Hostgrid.
Domain transfers usually take 5 to 7 days to complete. Track the progress of your transfers by following these steps:
- Log in to your Hostgrid Transfers Page.
- Select Transfers In if the domain is moving to your account. Or, select Transfers Out if the domain is moving from your account.
- Select the different tabs to review the details for domains in a particular status. Or, search for your domain in the search bar.
- Some statuses require you to take action, and that'll show next to the domain. Check out our guide on domain statuses to help you move forward with your transfer.
You'll see confirmation that your changes have been accepted.
Transferring a domain to Hostgrid costs a flat fee of ₹ 499.00*, and you get a free year of registration. Upon the expiration of your domain, you will be charged annually to maintain the domain. The price is the then-current annual retail price applicable to the domain.
