Arsenal FC are recognised as an elite club in English Soccer and recently won the 2001-2002 FA Premiership & FA Cup double to match their last one in 98, however this double was even more impressive with an unbeaten away record and an unprecedented goal in every league game - an outstanding achievement.

Arsenal FC have a proud tradition and like to play with an attacking flair that most teams struggle to contain - such is the force of their attacking prowess.

It wasn't all out attack though, in the late eighties and early nineties Arsenal were often referred to as "one nil to the Arsenal" or "boring-boring Arsenal" due to their 11 men behind the ball cautious play and indeed superb defensive play and record - Arsenal once went a full season only conceding 17 league goals!

Those 'cautious' days though brought sustained levels of success - with a number of league, FA Cup and League cup trophies won - even a European Cup winners Cup was won to gather an impressive haul of medals for the Arsenal players such as David Seaman, Tony Adams, Ian Wright, Alan Smith, Lee Dixon, Nigel Winterburn and Steve Bould et al.
